Adichanallur is located 77 km away from NEC. From an archaeological standpoint located on the banks of the Thamirabarani River. It is thought that a sophisticated dwelling lived here in ancient times. Urns (burnt-clay jars used for burial the dead corpses of the extremely old people) and tiny mud vessels were discovered along the river Thamirabarani and serve as evidence for the civilisation. The Tamil Nadu State Archaeological Department is presently in charge of this site.
